Beer Thoughts by The Alfster

This post is dedicated to my friend Tara...(at least I hope she is still my friend as I have recently introduced her husband to homebrewing)

I understand that homebrewing can quickly become an obsession to most anyone who begins this hobby. However, the advantages of being able to sit back relax and have a homebrew that you made is one of the most rewarding experiences anyone can have. The sense of satisfaction seeing your friends and family gathered around for those oh so familiar family moments is so wonderful as they partake of the creation that you and some little yeasties made just from some grain and hops. There really is not much else to compare with the joy of homebrewing...well maybe the birth of your first child, or that big bonus at the beginning of the year, but hey you can't drink either one of those!

And when one begins to feel that time is not being spent with family, due to brewing, racking, bottling schedules remeber just this one important thing...every batch of beer brewed, every bottle of beer capped is made with that most important ingredient, love...and really who can put a price on that.

Cheers and Hoppy Brewing!

Rest assured that you and Tara are still friends. If I actually drink all the beer I brew it may be a different story.

You are the Jack Handy of brewing.

That was beautiful man.....
